HIGH SCHOOL OUTREACH

Helping high school students toward future success in economics

The High School Outreach Program (HSOR) is a project that aims to educate high schoolers in the field of economics. Many high school students enter college with no concept of what economics is, nor the realm of careers that the field has to offer. So far, representatives from UW-WE have visited ten high schools, and counting!

HIGH SCHOOL OUTREACH SURVEY RESULTS

Students show significant increase in likelihood of pursuing a career in economics!

At UW-WE high school outreach presentations given in Fall 2020, there was a great increase in the likelihood of pursuing a career in economics before and after taking the presentation, compared to students who took both surveys and did not view the presentation.
